Written Advisory Work, Properly Scoped
Each engagement is defined, priced, and delivered as a written document. Choose the scope that fits your business at this moment — or get in touch to talk through what would be most useful.
← Back to HomeHow Each Engagement Is Structured
Intake and Scoping
Before any billable work begins, we hold a brief call to understand your business context and confirm the engagement scope in writing. Both parties sign off on the scope document before sessions start.
Facilitated Sessions
We sit with the relevant members of your team — typically the operations lead and finance-administration lead — and work through the subject matter together. Sessions are conducted at your premises or via video call.
Written Deliverable
The engagement ends with a written document in your hands. One round of feedback and revision is included within the scope. The final document is delivered as a PDF and as an editable file for future updates.
Operational Risk Map Note
A short engagement producing a written operational-risk map for a Malaysian SME. We sit with your operations and finance-administration leads and produce a six-page map of what could disrupt day-to-day operations, where written documentation currently lives, where redundancies exist, and what conversations have already happened internally.
This is a descriptive engagement. We are not providing regulated risk-management advice, nor prescribing remedial actions. The output is an honest written picture of the current state — which most clients find more valuable than a theoretical risk framework.
What is included:
- Intake call to confirm scope and schedule sessions
- Two to three hours of facilitated sessions with your team
- Six-page written operational risk map
- One round of feedback and revision
- Delivered as PDF and editable file
Process steps:
- 1Intake call and scope sign-off
- 2Session with operations lead (1–1.5 hrs)
- 3Session with finance-administration lead (1–1.5 hrs)
- 4Draft map produced and sent for review
- 5Final document delivered (within 14 days of first session)
Best suited for:
SMEs that have never formally mapped their operational risks, businesses preparing for an internal review or a new round of stakeholder scrutiny, and owner-managers who want a clear written record of where the dependencies lie.
Best suited for:
SMEs that have experienced a disruption and want a written plan for future scenarios, businesses asked by a client or lender to demonstrate continuity planning, and operations teams that want a shared reference document across the leadership group.
Business Continuity Note Workshop
A three-week engagement helping a Malaysian SME write a clear, plain-language continuity note covering "what would we do if" scenarios across four key exposure areas: people, premises, suppliers, and information. The engagement includes two facilitated workshops and produces a single written reference document.
This is operational consulting only. Specific insurance arrangements remain with the client's licensed brokers. The document we produce is intended to complement — not replace — formal insurance and legal planning.
What is included:
- Intake call and written scope agreement
- Workshop 1: People and Premises scenarios (2 hrs)
- Workshop 2: Suppliers and Information scenarios (2 hrs)
- Written continuity note (plain-language reference document)
- One round of feedback and revision
- Delivered as PDF and editable file
Process steps:
- 1Intake call, pre-workshop questionnaire sent
- 2Workshop 1 (Week 1) — People & Premises
- 3Workshop 2 (Week 2) — Suppliers & Information
- 4Draft continuity note circulated for review
- 5Final document delivered (Week 3)
Operational Risk Stewardship Retainer
A nine-month advisory retainer for established Malaysian firms that already have an internal operations or risk lead. The cadence is monthly written reviews, fortnightly advisory calls, and one in-person workshop per quarter. The remit is general operational-risk awareness and written-documentation cadence.
This retainer is designed to complement an existing internal function, not to serve as the sole risk resource. Clients who take the retainer typically come to us after completing a Risk Map Note or Continuity Note Workshop, or after a change to the business that requires their documentation to be updated.
What is included monthly:
- Monthly written review note (post each review call)
- Fortnightly 45-minute advisory call
- One in-person workshop per quarter (Klang Valley)
- Ad hoc written responses to operational risk questions
- Ongoing documentation review and update recommendations
Retainer structure (9 months):
- 1Month 1: Onboarding, baseline review, first workshop
- 2Months 2–3: Fortnightly calls, monthly written reviews
- 3Month 4: Quarterly in-person workshop
- 4Months 5–6: Fortnightly calls, monthly written reviews
- 5Months 7–9: Final workshops, close-out documentation review
Best suited for:
Established SMEs with 30 or more staff that have an internal operations or risk lead but want consistent outside perspective and written documentation cadence. Also suitable for businesses in a growth phase where operational risks are changing faster than internal processes can track.
